I was born and raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I got my Bachelors degree at the University of Wyoming and shortly after graduating, I got a teaching job in Minneapolis. While teaching I started to get a little frustrated with how little I knew about the process of learning which prompted me to take some basic psychology courses. I enjoyed these psych courses so much that I ended up pursuing a psychology PhD. at the University of Minnesota. While pursuing my PhD., I was shocked to realize I really enjoyed coding (who knew?!) and quantitative methodology. I am fortunate to have had great experiences in graduate school and I would love to stay in academia after getting my PhD; however, I am also interested in exploring careers in industry.
