I am a PhD. student in the Cognition and Brain Sciences program at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy learning about the human brain, machine learning and the measurement of latent traits

Some of my favorite things to do as a PhD. student include:
1.) writing code in R, Python and Matlab
2.) applying quantitative methods to better understand complex, real-world datasets
3.) sharing my findings with others via poster presentations and publications
4.) collaborating with really nice and brilliant people
More about me than anyone could possibly want to know
In my free time I play music in a few bands with my friends
I have a cat named Persephone (check the pic!)
I like to boulder at my local gym. It's a nice gym,
but it can get pretty busy so I wrote a quick python script
that scrapes the occupancy counts from the website every 10 minutes
so I can figure out the best times to go!
